What is the drug CONESCO®
Ravidasvir is an inhibitor of non-structural protein 5A (NS5A), a multifunctional protein that is an important component of the HCV replication complex. Ravidasvir inhibits the replication of HCV variant replicons encoding mutations of resistance to other major classes of HCV direct-acting antiviral drugs. HCV variants with reduced sensitivity to ravidasvir remain fully sensitive to other HCV inhibitor classes.
Dosage form
Film-coated tablets. Oval biconvex tablets, film-coated in white. In the cross-section, the core is white or almost white.
Indications for use
CONESCO® is indicated for use in adults over the age of 18 years in combination with sofosbuvir for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C (HCV).
CONESCO® should not be used as monotherapy.
Efficacy and safety studies
In clinical trials, CONESCO® has demonstrated high efficacy compared to other biomishen inhibitors for intractable genotypes and pre-existing NS5A mutations, as well as in patients with HCV/HIV coinfection.
